***IMPORTANT*** - Information if upgrading from PWSMoney V4.0 Build 747 or lower.

From Build 748 onwards PWSMoney has a slightly modified Transactions table structure.

If a previous build (747 or lower) of PWSMoney.exe is overwritten by PWSMoney.exe build 748 the following will occur.

1) If existing tables are of the old structure PWSMoney will complain that a 'Field' is missing from the Transactions.DBF table & the application will terminate.

Workaround

BACKUP YOUR DATA TO A SAFE LOCATION FIRST USING THE BACKUP / RESTORE FEATURE
FOUND IN THE OPTIONS DIALOG BOX.

1) Copy PWSMoney.exe Build 748 into a new empty folder. Double click to run. PWSMoney
will automatically create empty tables of the correct structure.
2) In the 'Options' dialog box choose the 'Backup / Restore' tab. Select 'User Location' & click the
'Restore Tables' button. Using the ensuing 'Browse for folders' dialog box navigate to your original
folder where the previous version of PWSMoney is installed & click 'OK'.
3) The old data from the previous version of PWSMoney will be imported into the new version.
4) When the import is complete close PWSMoney then select all the files in the new folder & 'cut & paste' them into the original folder that the previous version of PWSMoney was installed into. Choose 'Yes' when asked if you wish to overwrite existing files.
5) Run & Exit PWSMoney 3 times to make sure all the incremental backups have been created using the new table structure (overwriting the old table structure backups).

Thanks for using PWSMoney.
Paul Wainwright.
